"Now, as I before hinted, I have no objection to any person's religion, be it what it may, so long as that person does not kill or insult any other person, because that other person don't believe it also. But when a man's religion becomes really frantic; when it is a positive torment to him; and, in fine, makes this earth of ours an uncomfortable inn to lodge in; then I think it high time to take that individual aside and argue the point with him."
Study: These lines have come back to me often in the past year. In a leadership role, there must be respect and understanding given to those with beliefs and lives different from our own, whether by circumstance or choice. When a leader thinks there is one right way to live, then it is easy for him to justify punishment for those who live the "wrong"way. trump has made "this earth of ours an uncomfortable lodge to live in." Great leaders love. Great leaders respect all human lives. Great leaders today need to take this sham of a president aside 'and argue the point with him' or nothing will change.
